3:   This paper presents a class of two-step Runge-Kutta (TSRK) methods for the numerical solution of Retarded Functional Differential Equations (RFDEs).

4:   A convergence theorem is formulated and proved. Explicit methods up to order five are constructed. To avoid order reduction for mildly stiff problems

5:   the uniform stage order of the methods is chosen to be closed to uniform order.
