2: We study the basic properties of resolvent equipped with degenerate metric  based on restricted maximal monotonicity, and further propose several conditions for the well-definedness and weak convergence of the fixed point iterations.  The results help to understand the behaviours of many operator splitting algorithms in the kernel space of degenerate metric.
