2:   We discuss the application of the Mountain Pass Algorithm to the

3:   so-called quasi-linear Schr\"odinger equation, 

4:   which is naturally associated with a class of nonsmooth functionals so

5:   that the classical algorithm cannot directly be used.

6:   A change of variable allows us to deal with the lack of regularity.

7:   We establish the convergence of

8:   a mountain pass algorithm in this setting.

9:   Some numerical experiments are also performed and lead to

10:   some conjectures.
