2: In this paper we study extensively the discrete logarithm problem in

3: the group of non-singular circulant matrices. The emphasis of this

4: study was to find the exact parameters for the group of circulant

5: matrices for a secure implementation. We tabulate these parameters. We

6: also compare the discrete logarithm problem in the group of circulant

7: matrices with the discrete logarithm problem in finite fields and with

8: the discrete logarithm problem in the group of rational points of an

9: elliptic curve.
