2: This is a study of  the MOR cryptosystem using the special linear

3: group over finite fields. The automorphism group of the

4: special linear group is analyzed for this purpose.

5: At our current state of knowledge, I show

6: that the MOR cryptosystem has better security than the ElGamal

7: cryptosystem over finite fields.
