2: We investigate an inverse problem in time-frequency localization:

3: the approximation of the symbol of a time-frequency localization operator from

4: partial spectral information by the method of accumulated

5: spectrograms (the sum of the spectrograms corresponding to large

6: eigenvalues). We derive a sharp bound for the rate of convergence of the

7: accumulated spectrogram, improving on recent results.
