2: The adjoint method, recently introduced by Evans, 

3: is used to study obstacle problems, weakly coupled systems, 

4: cell problems for  weakly coupled systems of Hamilton--Jacobi equations, 

5: and weakly coupled systems of obstacle type.

6: In particular, new results about the speed of convergence of common approximation procedures are derived.
