2: The  beetle antennae search algorithm was recently proposed and

3: investigated for solving global optimization problems. Although the

4: performance of the algorithm and its variants were shown to be

5: better than some existing meta-heuristic algorithms, there is still

6: a lack of convergence analysis. In this paper, we provide

7: theoretical analysis on the convergence of the beetle antennae

8: search algorithm. We test the performance of the BAS algorithm via

9: some representative benchmark functions. Meanwhile, some

10: applications of the BAS algorithm are also presented.
