2:   We describe the iterated monodromy groups associated with

3:   post-critically finite quadratic polynomials, and make explicit their

4:   connection to the `kneading sequence' of the polynomial.

6:   We then give recursive presentations by generators and relations for

7:   these groups, and study some of their properties, like torsion and

8:   `branchness'.
