3: Casson--Gordon invariants of the connected sum

4: of two knots split when the Alexander polynomials of the knots are

5: coprime.  As one application, for any knot $K$, all but finitely many

6: algebraically slice twisted doubles of $K$

7: are linearly independent in the knot concordance group.
