2: Finite groups are of the  greatest importance in science.

3: Loops are a simple generalization of finite groups: they

4: share all the group axioms except for the requirement

5: that the binary operation be associative.

6: The least loops that are not themselves groups are

7: those of order five. We offer a brief discussion of these loops

8: and challenge the reader (especially Holger)

9: to find  useful applications

10: for them  in physics.
