2: The Coulomb interaction between the two protons is included in the calculation

3: of proton-deuteron breakup  

4: and of three-body electromagnetic disintegration of ${}^3\mathrm{He}$.

5: The hadron dynamics is based on the purely nucleonic

6: charge-dependent (CD) Bonn potential and its realistic extension

7: CD Bonn + $\Delta$ to a coupled-channel two-baryon potential,

8: allowing for single virtual $\Delta$-isobar excitation.

9: Calculations are done using integral equations in momentum space.

10: The screening and renormalization approach is employed for including the

11: Coulomb interaction.

12: Convergence of the procedure is found at moderate screening radii.

13: The reliability of the method is demonstrated.

14: The Coulomb effect on breakup observables is  seen at all energies

15: in particular kinematic regimes.
