2:   We present an $\mm$-adic Newton iteration with quadratic convergence

3:   for lexicographic Gr\"obner basis of zero dimensional ideals in two

4:   variables. We rely on a structural result about the syzygies in such

5:   a basis due to Conca and Valla, that allowed them to explicitly

6:   describe these Gr\"obner bases by affine parameters; our Newton iteration

7:   works directly with these parameters.
