1: \begin{abstract} Unordered flag varieties are the orbit spaces of the natural action of the symmetric group on the complete flag varieties. In this paper, we compute the mod-$2$ cohomology groups of these spaces in lower orders. This allows us to improve the known estimate for the number of Auerbach bases of finite dimensional Banach spaces of small dimensions.
