2: We present a new algorithm to solve the conjugacy problem in Artin

3: braid groups, which is faster than the one presented by Birman,

4: Ko and Lee \cite{B-K-L}. This algorithm can be applied not only to

5: braid groups, but to all {\em Garside groups} (which include
