2:   We study linear inhomogeneous kinetic equations with an

3:   external confining potential and a collision operator admitting

4:   several local conservation laws (local density, momentum and

5:   energy). We classify all special macroscopic modes (stationary

6:   solutions and time-periodic solutions). We also prove the

7:   convergence of all solutions of the evolution equation to such

8:   non-trivial modes, with a quantitative exponential rate. This

9:   is the first hypocoercivity result with multiple special

10:   macroscopic modes with constructive estimates depending on the

11:   geometry of the potential.\end{abstract}
