2: We consider pair production and decay of fundamental unstable

3: particles in the framework of a modified perturbation theory (MPT)

4: treating resonant contributions in the sense of distributions. The

5: cross-section of the process is calculated within the NNLO of the

6: MPT in a model that admits exact solution. Universal

7: massless-particles contributions are taken into consideration. A

8: comparison of the outcomes with the exact solution demonstrates

9: excellent convergence of the MPT series at the energies near and

10: above the maximum of the cross-section.
