1: \begin{abstract}

2: We propose the tube model as a first step in solving the

3: bound state problem in light-front QCD.  In this approach

4: we neglect transverse variations of the fields, producing

5: a model with 1+1 dimensional dynamics.  We then solve the

6: two, three, and four particle sectors of the

7: model for the case of pure glue SU(3).

8: We study convergence to the continuum limit and various

9: properties of the spectrum.
