2: We investigate the properties of a two-cocycle on the group of

3: symplectic diffeomorphisms of an exact symplectic manifold defined by

4: Ismagilov, Losik, and Michor. We

5: provide both vanishing and nonvanishing results and applications to

6: foliated symplectic bundles and to Hamiltonian actions of finitely

7: generated groups.
