2:     The Signalizer Functor Method as developed by Gorenstein and Walter

3:     played a fundamental role in the first proof of the Classification of

4:     the Finite Simple Groups.

5:     It plays a similar role in the new proof  of the Classification in the

6:     Gorenstein-Lyons-Solomon book series.

7:     The key results are Glauberman's Solvable Signalizer Functor Theorem

8:     and McBride's Nonsolvable Signalizer Functor Theorem.

9:     Given their fundamental role,

10:     it is desirable to have new and different proofs of them.

11:     This is accomplished in

12:     {\em A new proof of the Solvable Signalizer Functor Theorem,}

13:     P. Flavell, J. Algebra, 398 (2014) 350--363 for Glauberman's Theorem.

14:     The purpose of this paper is to give a new proof of McBride's Theorem.
